Photogrammetry: Motala's Baby Nessie

Years ago a delegation from the Caledonian Canal in Inverness, Scotland, gifted the Swedish town of Motala an egg that was said to have come from the Loch Ness monster. This egg was then placed in a lake called Vättern, with the hopes that it would someday hatch and the lake would get its own monster.

In commemoration of this, artist Sören Niklasson sculpted this “Baby Nessie” that can now be found in Motala harbour.
